TURKEY RUN STATE PARK is only 8 miles North of Rockville, Indiana on Highway 47 off of US 41.
Walk the Trails, Picnic, Swim in the Pool, Saunter on the back of a Horse, Bicycle in Step with Nature, Fish, Visit the Nature Center....Even TAKE A NAP ON A BLANKET! (Sounds good to me!)
Visit Billie Creek Village, a Turn-of-the-Century Recreated Village. Many of the Buildings were moved from their original locations in town to the Village. Visit the one-room schoolhouse, the general store; feed the farm animals.
Visit the many antique shops and craft shops in the area. And don't forget Gobbler's Knob just a few miles north on US 41.....An old time general store with so many things to see you'll have to take your lunch!
At the end of a day, stop at Terre Vin Winery and relax with a tasting of good wine! Get some baked goods too!
Or....Come see what lots of folks come to Parke County to see!!!!
We have 31 of these treasures...or at least we will have when we rebuild the one that vandals burned down IN 2004!!!!
